NOW PRESS PLAY
Lesson: Information and communication technology
In a now>press>play Experience, the children put on wireless headphones and are plunged into the world of their topic.
Immersed in sound, they become the main character in a story, meeting people, discovering places and solving problems, on an educational adventure they’ll never forget.
The children have thoroughly enjoyed their experiences, ranging from:
- How to care kindly for animals taken from their environment and animal groups (mammals, fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds)
- Jack and the Beanstalk: The children discover a castle at the top of the beanstalk and hide from giants, become the giant and stomp around looking for Jack and escape down the beanstalk with a chicken that lays golden eggs!
- World War II: When war is declared by Germany, they experience evacuation from the city to Lady Amelia’s manor in the countryside. After digging for victory, return to London – but the Blitz is still to come. When their shelter is destroyed, how will they survive the bombardment?
- Mission to Mars - On a school trip to NASA, the class are accidentally sent on a mission to Mars. Over the 300-day journey, they have to guide the shuttle on it's course, repair damage from a meteorite and learn how to survive in zero gravity. Will they ever make it back home?
Lots, lots more experiences to discover!
