Welcome to St Stephen’s RC Primary School. Our School and Parish are very special. Serving the families and children of Droylsden, in the Diocese of Salford, we are a diverse school community, enriched by a broad range of nationalities and cultures.

At St Stephen’s we aim to help children develop in their journey of faith in a positive learning environment and we place Jesus, His teachings, His values at the heart of all that we do here.

We strive for the highest academic standards of teaching and learning and care, ensuring your child has the very best start in their spiritual and academic journey.

We believe that our school will make a valuable contribution to your child’s development.  It is a secure and caring environment where children develop their many talents and we fully recognise the importance of educating the ‘whole’ child. We have three simple, but effective school rules for adults, children and parents to follow:

Be Ready, Be Respectful, Be Safe.

Academic excellence for all children is one of our goals but we also seek to nurture those special gifts which makes each child unique.  Home, School and Parish links are also vital.

We offer a broad, balanced and progressive curriculum, enriched with purposeful experiences and the flexibility to be responsive to individual needs and interests. Our Curriculum Mission is to:

Our curriculum’s ambition is for all children to understand how to be happy, confident, caring, knowledgeable and resilient individuals, who will grow to be inspirational adults who want to make the world a better place.
